Critical competences:

  1. Ability to be clear forward thinker, analyze and resolve problems using good judgment in pressure situations.
  2. Ability to work with constant interruptions and maintain a calm, pleasant and professional attitude.
  3. Ability to communicate in English with guests, visitors and hotel staff.
  4. Computer knowledge (Excel, Sun System, Fidelio).
  5. Ability to respond to questions, requests, and concerns from employees and management regarding company and Human Resources programs, policies and guidelines.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of employee and property records, files, and information.
  7. Ability to ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (e.g., interview documents, I-9's, reference checks, Drug Free Workplace Policy (DFWP), applicant self-identification forms, department orientation check list).
  8. At least 1 year of related work experience
  9. No supervisory experience required

Administration:

  1. Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and property records, files, and information.
  2. Answer phone calls and record messages.
  3. Create and maintain filing systems.
  4. Create and type office correspondence using computer.
  5. Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (e.g., interview documents, I-9's, reference checks, Drug Free Workplace Policy (DFWP), applicant self-identification forms, department orientation check list).

  1. Assist management in screening resumes, conducting interviews and selecting new hourly hires using selection tools and systems.
  2. Monitor all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards.
  3. Assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
  4. Monitor and assist managers/supervisors with hiring processes and issues.
  5. Coordinate and conduct applicant drug screens, reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle checks, and social security number verification in accordance with company procedures.
  6. Maintain applicant flow, drug screen, orientation and transfer request logs.
  7. Communicate to all applicants receiving a job offer the necessary documentation required to bring on first day of employment in order to complete I-9 employment verification forms.
  8. Create and maintain new hire files and enter them into PeopleSoft.
  9. Create new employee personnel file.
  10. Assist with orientation of new employees.
