Custom Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Customs Manager to lead and optimize customs compliance operations for international e-commerce logistics. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of global customs regulations and extensive experience navigating the certification and clearance processes for local customs authorities across various markets. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and timely movement of cross-border e-commerce parcels, in full compliance with all applicable laws and trade agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage global customs clearance processes for e-commerce parcels across multiple regions

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including import/export laws, tariffs, and local customs certification standards.

• Liaise with local customs authorities, brokers, and partners to resolve clearance issues and ensure fast, cost-effective processing.

• Manage and update documentation required for customs clearancen.

• Develop and implement internal compliance programs to reduce risk of delays, penalties, or seizures.

• Track changes in international customs regulations and proactively update procedures and training for internal teams.

• Collaborate closely with logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, and legal teams to support seamless supply chain operations.

• Contribute to the selection and management of third-party customs brokers and freight forwarders.

• Analyze clearance performance data and drive continuous improvement in customs procedures and service levels.
  
  

  Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.

• More than 10 years of experience in international logistics with a strong focus on customs clearance and certification processes.

• Preferred:

• Experience with major e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, Alibaba, Shopify, etc.).

• Knowledge of trade agreements (e.g., USMCA, RCEP, EU FTAs).

• Certifications such as Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent.

• In-depth knowledge of global customs regulations (e.g., EU, US CBP, China, ASEAN, etc.) and e-commerce parcel flows.

• Familiarity with country-specific compliance requirements.

• Experience with digital customs clearance platforms and logistics management systems.

• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and multicultural environment.

• Proficiency in English (required); knowledges of chinese language are a plus.
