The Royal Thai Embassy wishes to announce the recruitment for the position of Interpreter. The position, qualifications, and job descriptions are as follows:

Position: Interpreter

Job Description:

1) Interpret for Ambassador and Embassy officials from Kazakh/Russian into English and vice versa.

2) Translate documents, news, articles, and official correspondence from Kazakh/Russian into English and vice versa.

3) Assist in coordinating with government and private sector organizations in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, including drafting related documentation.

4) Support the Embassy’s economic division by researching economic developments in the region and performing related tasks.

5) Assist with protocol matters in coordination with public and private sector stakeholders.

6) Perform other tasks as assigned by Embassy officials.

Qualifications:

1) Graduated with at least a Bachelor’s Degree.

2) Excellent in English, Russian, and Kazakh languages in all skills.

3) Competent in basic computer programmes such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.

4) Reliable, hardworking, polite, responsible, a team player, and able to perform well under pressure.

Salary:

  • 336,673 tenge per month with additional living allowances.

The probation period is 3 months, with the possibility of extension depending on performance.

The candidate will be responsible for his/her own income tax payment. The candidate’s obligatory pension payment will be deducted from his/her salary by the Embassy and paid to the concerned authorities. The Embassy will be responsible for the candidate’s obligatory social security and health insurance payments.

Initial Contract:

  • 12 May - 11 August 2025 as the probation period, with a possible extension of the contract on a yearly basis.
