Sales Engineer - Rock Drilling Tools (RGD)

Job Summary

As a Sales Engineer for Rock Drilling Tools and Ground Support, you will be responsible for identifying customer needs, providing technical solutions, and driving sales growth in the Central Asia region. You will work closely with mining and construction customers to optimize their drilling operations while ensuring profitability and market share growth for Epiroc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify specific rock drilling tool needs for blasting works for potential customers based on their equipment specifications
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales targets through effective territory management
  • Execute the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure, independently or in collaboration with team members. Salesforce funnel.
  • Increase Epiroc's market share in the assigned region through strategic customer development
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong professional relationships with customers
  • Organize and conduct test drilling to demonstrate product effectiveness for both existing and new customers
  • Resolve quality claims and provide technical support to customers
  • Consult with direct manager on proposal details including pricing, product type, parts, service, and warranty terms
  • Work with Regional Business Line Manager to analyze individual customer needs and propose optimal solutions
  • Monitor market trends and competition - gather, evaluate and analyze information about the market
  • Maintain and update the drill string database for customers and competitors
  • Manage receivables and inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability
  • Support customers in a professional manner, ensuring high satisfaction levels

Qualifications

  • Higher technical or commercial education (university degree or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in construction or mining industries
  • Technical competence in drill rigs, rock drilling tools and their applications
  • Strong understanding of underground and surface rock excavation processes
  • Excellent knowledge of the construction and mining market in Central Asia
  • Strong sales orientation with proven ability to effectively communicate with customers
  • Fluency in Russian, with solid written and spoken Kazakh and English
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Salesforce preferable
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally on a regular basis
