Job Title: IT Business Analyst / Scrum Master

Location: Almaty

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Analyst / Scrum Master to guide and support agile team through the full project lifecycle. The role requires expertise in both business analysis and agile methodologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions while aligning business objectives with product outcomes. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, QA, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

• Requirements Gathering: Elicit, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis of existing systems.
• Process Analysis: Analyze and document current and future business processes, identifying areas for improvement and providing solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team to ensure the product aligns with business needs.
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation, including user stories, use cases, process maps, data flow diagrams, wireframes, and business process models.
• Solution Design: Collaborate with the technical team to design and validate the proposed solutions.
• Testing & Validation: Work with QA to ensure that the product meets the outlined requirements and assist with UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

Scrum Master Responsibilities

• Agile Practices: Lead and coach the team in Agile practices, promoting self-organization and collaboration.
• Sprint Planning & Facilitation: Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Backlog Management: Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog is refined, clear, and ready for the team.
• Impediment Removal: Identify, address, and resolve any roadblocks that may impede the team’s progress.
• Metrics & Reporting: Track and communicate key metrics such as team velocity, sprint progress, and project timelines to stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team, implementing process improvements for better productivity and quality.
• Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment, building a high-performing team while promoting transparency and trust.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a minimum of 3 years in an Agile environment.
• 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in software development projects.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
• Professional Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).

Skills:

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Expertise in business process modeling, requirements management, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in using Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
• English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
