IT Software Engineer (Remote)

Primary duties:

• Well management with EDMS/IED/HROA/HRDT technical and functional scope (Documents, Transmittal, Access Control, Custom reports, Data Integrity).
• Knowledge of the structure of system objects and custom developed objects on database level.
• Preparing OpenText platform for data migration activities using standard tools and direct querying the system from the DB.

Responsibilities:

1. End-to-end Applications Technical Support:

• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and adjust as required to enhance performance
• Perform installations, configurations and testing of application software
• Perform application packaging, testing and release management
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy for applications as required
• Perform required types of application maintenance:
• Adaptive – modifying applications to cope with changes in the environment (DBMS, OS),
• Corrective – diagnosing and fixing errors.
• Work on automation of time-consuming and labor-intensive tasks (via e.g. scripts) to increase applications efficiency and lower human intervention time on any tasks
• Liaise with vendors (L3) and other IT personnel as required to resolve problems
• Work in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to perform required tasks
• Lead the development and maintain actuality of technical documentation
• Produce periodical reports on own area of expertise to line management.

2. End-to-end Applications Functional Support:

• Provide applications workflow support to end users
• Provide necessary applications workflow training as required
• Engage Business to better understand business processes and provide application support accordingly
• Perform full end-to-end access management (new access provision, existing access maintenance, removal of access)
• Participate in applications testing and provide necessary feedback
• Liaise with vendors (L3) and other IT personnel as required to resolve problems
• Work in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to perform required tasks
• Lead the development and maintain actuality of technical documentation
• Produce periodical reports on own area of expertise to line management.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Information Technology or related field.

Knowledge:

• Minimum 3 years of experience support Enterprise Content Management Platforms in a large organizations. Knowing OpenText ECM is advantageous.
• Must have knowledge of data structure, practical experience with ETL functions.
• Knowledge of the structure of system objects and custom developed objects on database level.
• Preferred previous experience with Content Management system data migration activities using standard tools and direct querying the system from the DB
