Motion Director & Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Motion Director & Designer to join our vibrant team. In this unique role, you will help with our motion capture initiatives and produce captivating cartoon animations that engage and delight children worldwide. This position offers the opportunity to enhance the creative direction of our projects while also being hands-on with animation and design.

Responsibilities -

Creative Leadership and Direction:

• Help to lead the creative process for motion capture projects from concept to completion, ensuring they align with our channel's vision and objectives.

• Collaborate with other department leads to define project scopes, milestones, and deliverables.

• Provide creative direction and feedback to the animation team, ensuring high-quality production standards.

Motion Design and Animation:

• Design and animate high-quality, engaging cartoon animations for our kids music channel, using motion capture technology and other animation software.

• Develop storyboards and animations that are creative, age-appropriate, and align with the channel's themes and goals.

• Optimise animation processes using motion capture data, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality outputs.

Project Management:

• Oversee multiple animation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including voice actors, sound designers, and marketers, to ensure seamless production and launch of animations.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in animation, motion capture technology, and children's entertainment to continually enhance our channel's offerings.

Team Collaboration and Development:

• Work closely with the animation team, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills in motion capture and animation.

• Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

Qualifications -

• Qualifications in Animation, Film, Visual Arts, or a related field.

• Proven experience in motion capture animation and design, with a portfolio showcasing your work. Experience in children's entertainment or related fields would be awesome.

• Proficient in animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Maya, Cinema 4D) and motion capture technology.

• Creative thinker with excellent storytelling abilities.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

• Spoken English and a great understanding of English language is essential.
