Piping Supervisor

Higher education, with work experience at least 3 year.

Main responsibilities

Review new pipe‐fitters/fabricator assigned to ensure they are adequately qualified.

2.2. Ensure new pipe fabricators/pipe‐fitters are suitably trained and instructed on the project work‐scope and quality requirements.

2.3. Ensure all necessary plant and piping equipment is maintained in a current operable and calibrated condition, and work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment and materials.

2.4. Prevents wastage and misuse of equipment, materials and tools. Supervises work crews to best utilize manpower and materials, exercises discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work

practices and idleness. Ensure consumable control requirements are closely followed.

2.5. Complete the initial assignment probation monitoring of piping operatives and arrange required initial NDE through the QC section. Complete surveys and provide information on piping crew’s performance.

2.6. Ensure the monitoring, witness and inspection requirements of the Quality Control Inspection plan are followed and the Piping Inspection Requests and (RFI’s) Request for Inspection forms are raised in a timely manner.

2.7. Ensure that pipe marking requirements are followed.

2.8. Complete the required monitoring of qualification updates and provide QC with client approved verifications.

2.9. Familiar with all Company QA/QC and safety procedures / regulations and strictly enforces them with the workforce under his responsibility.

2.10. Manage and instruct a team of workers and sub-contractors to perform on site installation / alignment processes.

2.11. Monitoring and reporting of all daily manpower and resource scheduling and deployment to Assistant Supervisor or Foreman and coordinate in all aspects of site issues.

2.12. Monitor job progress and ensure quality work at targeted schedule.

2.13. Assist in coordinating in the preparation and execution of project inspections for the proper handling over to clients.

2.14. Liaise and coordinate with other departments on project issues.

2.15. Other duties can be assigned if required.
