Senior Manager of Legal Development Department

As a Senior Manager in the Legal Development Department, you will:

• Participate and provide legal review of AIFC Acts or amendments to the AIFC Acts in collaboration with other Structural Units of the AIFCA.
• Review drafts of AIFC Acts circulated for approval by the Structural Units of the Department or the AIFCA or, if required, by other AIFC Bodies.
• Conduct a comparative analysis of international benchmarks for the Acting Law of the AIFC and make proposals on its further development.
• Interact with consultative and advisory bodies, external experts of the AIFCA, and other AIFC stakeholders on matters related to Legal Development Department activities.
• Perform other duties necessary to accomplish tasks of the Legal Development Department.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Master’s degree in Kazakh and International Law.
• 3-10 years of experience at a law firm or within an in-house legal department.
• Proficiency in Kazakh, common, and AIFC Law.
• Experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents.
• Extensive knowledge of National Law and international standards of legal services.
• Extensive knowledge of security/collateral law and IP law.
• Fluent in English, Russian, and Kazakh.Professional user of PC and different software.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent business judgment and a high level of professionalism.
• Ability to work in teams.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.
• Natural leader who displays sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
