Senior Consultant (International Tax)

Responsibilities:

• Supervising work of junior personnel on international taxation projects, including preparation of tax deliverables, and supervising risk management and contractual issues
  • Preparation of client deliverables, including written and oral tax advice memoranda and reports, restructuring reports, tax opinions, etc.
  • Preparation project-related documentation, proposals, presentations, etc.
  • Developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients
  • Regular update of information on market opportunities and identification of potential areas for additional work
  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff

To fill in the role, a candidate is expected to meet the following requirements:

• Higher education (degree preferably in economics, finance, accounting, mathematics)
  • At least 3 -5 years of experience as a tax senior accountant/tax manager/tax senior consultant gained in reputable Kazakhstan or international companies or similar experience in Big4
  • Excellent knowledge of Kazakh tax and accounting legislation
  • Relevant Kazakh or international qualification is a plus
  • At least upper-intermediate/ English, fluent Russian
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
  • Good organizational and teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask
