We are recruiting a team for a large American company - the world leader in the production of special equipment, industrial machinery and equipment since 1886.

JOB DUTIES: Responsibilities of the incumbents are to provide manual (50%-60%) and automation (50%-40%) testing of features and capabilities of platform and/or applications.

• Competent to perform all testing, and quality assurance assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work.
• Understand existing automation framework and improve on optimization and gaps.
• Develop exploratory testing to identify new defects.
• Competent to perform all testing activities of new and existing software products.
• Use your understanding of systems, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing
• Works directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution.
• Works independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems.
• Analyze business requirement to develop and execute automation test cases
• Document software issues and defects in bug tracking software and monitor for the resolution.
• Coordinate with product owner to resolve open issues/enhancements/upgrades and understand the use of a specific functionality as needed
• Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness
• Performs integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results.

Qualifications:
• 5-7 years or more of software testing experience in automation tool.
• 5 years or more of test automation framework design and development experience
• 5 years or more of prior either functional or object- oriented coding experience in modern programming languages like C++, Java or Python (preferably Java)
• Strong development skills in two or more of the following technologies and tools: Java/Junit, Python, Cucumber, REST APIs, JBehave or other BDD testing frameworks.
• Strong experience in testing Webservices (REST APIs)
• Experience in AWS Cloud technology as a plus
• Experience in TDD, continuous integration, code review practice is strongly desired

Current stack:

Karate + Java, GIT, AWS environment, Azure DevOps

Day to day duties might include:

Analysis of the requirements/acceptance criteria, design/architecture pages, swagger specifications

Preparing a test plan and reviewing it with the stakeholders, getting their feedback

Manual testing via Postman(if it’s required)

Automation using Karate framework

Pipeline configuration in Azure DevOps

Test Reporting in Azure DevOps

Monitoring existing and newly developed test cases in ADO

Investigating and creating bugs providing all required steps and findings.
