IT Solution Architect (Remote)

Required work experience:

• 7+ years of experience in IT area with at least 4 years of in-depth experience of individual IT/IM discipline (e.g. Network & Telecom, Host & Storage, Applications, IM)
• Experience and a comprehensive understanding working within Enterprise Architecture environments
• Experience within Solution Design & Architecture
• Experience of all aspects of the software development lifecycle
• Experience working within mobile, cloud and infrastructure solutions environments

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Produce and validate the sustainable and auditable documentation using required standards, methods, and tools.
• Develop and maintain integrated view of IT/IM Solution Architecture.
• Develop and maintain set of clear models and documents, understandable by stakeholders, that outlines IT/IM solutions structure and the way it works.
• Ensure that all IT/IM solutions are closely aligned to the Business Strategy, Business Operating Model and IT/IM strategy and architecture.
• Lead activities on unification of computational processes based on business needs.
• Produce detailed component specifications from IT/IM architectures, taking a holistic view of the intended uses of the architectures. Translate component specifications into detailed designs for implementation using selected products.
• Support in the creation of technical design and plans, and collaborate with business assurance and project staff to ensure that appropriate technical resources are mobilized and allocated.
• Ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices are applied correctly.
• Monitor technical progress, informing project management of major technical issues and making recommendations on their resolution.
• Govern, coordinate and facilitate IT/IM solution architecture awareness, communication, monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of current practice within own area of expertise and well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
• Make independent decisions relating to own area of responsibility, within defined parameters and sets new precedents based on sound subject matter knowledge and professional judgment. Decisions may impact on the overall outcomes for the work area.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and Technologies, Software Engineering

Knowledge:

• Understands the Agile methodology and can help a business use Agile principles.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to quickly understand existing business processes, analyze and structure the data.

• MS Visio advanced user

• Good meeting facilitation and presentation skills

• Business Analysis techniques such as BPMN, UML Use case Modelling, Data Modelling, Entity Relationship Diagram, Affinity diagram, mind mapping. Mock ups

• Solution Design, system mockups

• Knowledge of project management (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum methodologies)

• Fluent level of English: writing and speaking
