PLANT MAINTENANCE MANAGER

The ideal candidate is required to have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Must have a minimum of 8-10 years of operation experience in mining sector with a minimum of 5 years in a management level role
• Formal education/certification in Asset Management,
• Strong ability to effectively communicate in English and Russian
• Knowledge in flotation processes or ore milling operations are plus
• Have multi-tasking skills, and ability to operate,
• Strong management skills in developing CAPEX/OPEX budgets and forecasts,
• An ability to work autonomously within a highly complex project delivery environment,
• Strong analytical skills and collaborative relationships,
• Self-motivated, takes ownership and initiative, follows-up on own responsibilities,
• Strong leadership, management, communication and project management skills
• Strong ability influence, persuade and motivate individuals or groups to achieve desired outcomes in a professional and morally ethical way
• Excellent negotiation, supply chain and cost reduction skills
• Expert knowledge of MS Office programs
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Willingness to live in Terekty, Karaganda

The role will be consists of:

• Managing and leading Mechanical Maintenance Team & Maintenance Planning Team & Electrical Maintenance Team
• Leading and directing the Team to reinforce safe behaviours and eliminate hazards
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining effective systems and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Process Plant team
• Developing the annual Mechanical Engineering departmental plans
• Developing and implementing continuous process improvement initiatives to achieve the strategic Business objectives
• Controlling operating costs while maintaining a safe and efficient plant
• Overseeing employee safety and ensure adherence to policies and regulations
• Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of sites projects, ensuring their successful execution
• Responsibility for the motivation, training, supervision and performance management of all team’s personnel
• Conducting monthly safety meetings and inspections, completing follow-up corrective actions where required
• Working closely with EHS to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits and policy requirements
• Spare part inventory control and being sure that they are at the plant before planning any maintenance activity
• Leading the maintenance program for the asset design, installation, system improvement as well as other safe working and asset protection systems in a safe and cost-effective manner

Conditions:

1. Official employment according to Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Working schedule 5/2, working hours from 09:00 to 18:00.

3. Work in production.

4. Location: Republic of Kazakhstan, Karaganda region, Karkaraly district, Terekty village.
