Cashier & Sales Assistant

Cashier & Sales Assistant is responsible for all sales job duties, from generating leads to closing sales. His/Her duties includes selling, restocking and merchandising.

Sales Assistant’s goal is to provide high class excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals and to increase company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

• Assess customers’ needs and provide assistance and information on product features

• Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries

• Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

• “Go the extra mile” to drive sales

• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition, clean assigned areas

• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options

• Handle Customer concerns, complaints and returns of merchandise

• Process POS (point of sale) purchases
• Build productive trust relationships with customers
• Comply with inventory control procedures
• Scan purchases on the POS system and total amounts of all items
• Take and process sales transaction in the POS counter (Cashier on duty)

• Pleasing personality and Customer satisfaction-oriented
• Have the ability to work under pressure, handle customer complaints and problems in a proactive manner.
• Proven working experience in Retail sales, sales representative interacting with customers or equivalent
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Sales skills and result driven
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions
• Familiarity with inventory procedures
• Availability to work flexible shifts
