Bureau IT Technician

Required Experience: 1+ year

Freelance Work: 2 days per week

Location: Astana, Kazakhstan

Reporting: Almaty Bureau System Administrator/ Astana Bureau Administrator

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Provide support for computer hardware, mobile gadgets, software, printers, applications, operating systems, and network devices.
• Deliver efficient and effective IT support services to company staff.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory and documentation for accurate reporting and development of a knowledge base.
• Prioritize daily tasks according to urgency level and escalate major incidents.
• Install, test, operate, and maintain new hardware and software.
• Familiarity with new equipment, audio and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Adobe Audition, etc.
• Develop and deliver computer and software training for end-users.
• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level.
• Regularly backup servers, user files, and network shared files.
• Acquire necessary equipment to ensure continued efficient operation.
• Adhere to local regulations, safety and technical standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Higher education in computer science or information technology, last year university student or college graduate, mandatory.
• Certification of formal education and/or proof of equivalent professional experience in related field (IT, Computer Science, Telecom, etc.).
• Fluency in English in addition to a broadcast language Kazakh or Russian.
• CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ level knowledge required.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with MS O365, Windows 10/Windows Server, Android, iOS.
• Network Services: Ethernet, Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WSUS.
• Understanding of routers/switches/APs and other network devices.
• Background in CCTV, Security & Access Control Systems is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with cabling, repair of computers, and related equipment.
• Sound knowledge of computer hardware, including PCs, printers, and networks.
